n u g s . n e t | Gov't Mule mp3 - Bonnaroo 6/21/02
n u g s . n e t presents

Warren Haynes - guitar, vocals
Matt Abts - drums
Dave Schools - bass
Danny Louis - keys

Schools, Danny, and Matt patiently waited on the Arena stage for Warren to finish up his solo on "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" around the corner at Les Claypool's set on the Stadium stage. The crowd in The Arena was cheering, waiting for the Mule set to start, oblivious to the fact that Warren was frantically being beckoned over to The Arena to make his own gig.

Warren wasted no time once he arrived, ripping right into the Mule workhorse "Thorazine Shuffle." The omnipresent DJ Logic came out for "Sco-Mule," and later Les returned the favor and came out with Mule for "Drivin' Rain," a tune Warren, Les, and Matt had just recorded with Metallica's James Hetfield.

Sadly for the People of Bonnaroo, Warren had to head right back to Chicago, where he had left the Allman Brothers mid-tour, and he was unable to pop up at any of the late night shows or play with Phil & Friends on Sunday.
